The Scuttlebutt

Subject to how December's game goes, a few of us have been thinking about trying to make the Mega game a 4 monthly regular all day event.... if we have a game in December, that would put the next one around April 19 and the one after that in August 19 and then once again in December 19. The view is that 4 months gives us sufficient time to get it organised.


So if we were to do this, does this timing work (the view is that this would fit with general holiday times so may be easier for people to attend) and what suggestions do we have for future Mega games?


So far, the following is being toyed with:


April 2019 - a Flames of War “bridge too far” Mega game in 15mm using an 18' x 4 ' battlefield with multiple towns / bridges.

Aug 2019 - a 6mm ACW Gettysburg game - possibly refighting the whole battle.

Dec 2019 - another large team Yankee game perhaps ...possibly someting abit different, say the WarPac invasion of Denmark? or the nattle through the Fulda Gap?

Oh yes, we’ve talked about this .....a 6mm ACW game would be very do’able and lend itself very wrll to a large multi- player format.

Thats a good option ....I’ll slot it in to the opening post to fill August. (We can move them around as we decide).
